Enable http gzip via htaccess

Http gzip can compress js,css files via htaccess, you must first enable :expires_module, rewrite_module, mod_headers, mod_deflate in apache.

  3. Hi
lets say we keep the server’s Etag by not add the FileETag None on .htaccess

What is going to happens if upload one new version of a jpeg image, after 2 days of client’s 1rst visit.

    A. Client’s browser is going to get the new jpg image from the server (because the etag has change)
    or
    B. Client’s browser is going to show the old jpg image from the server. (because has 7 days cache)

    thanks
    Harry
